Dear all,
We, the former political prisoners and a group of community members associated with the School identified a need to add non-formal English classes, for adults and young adults. This need arises in part from the substantial proportion of the camp population who expect to resettle to a third country in the near future, and in part to compensate for the “brain drain” effect of resettlement by educating and training those not resettling. Apart from helping those resettling, the non-formal English classes would thus also help prepare teachers to step into the shoes of those who resettle; it would also develop the English-speaking and English-writing skills of the many PAB residents involved in CBOs, political, and human rights organizations, who will thus become more effective in their work. more…..
